CAREYES

Welcome to Careyes

A HIDDEN GEM ON THE PACIFIC COAST

After a short journey through the Mexican jungle, Careyes appears out of nowhere like a mirage or a vision: perfectly paved cobblestone streets and lush tropical gardens wind their way up to a kaleidoscope of colored private villas and ocean castles built into the cliffs that rise from the sea. In the bay below sits an emerald green island, lapped by azure waves, straight out of Neverland. As soon as you spot it, you know you have truly arrived and your adventure has officially begun. A picturesque blend of natural beauty, luxury, and cultural richness– Careyes is a private property comprised of Ocean Castles, Private Villas, Casitas and Bungalows. It is located in Costalegre, Jalisco, on the Mexican Pacific.

Together, we’re building a sustainable future for Careyes and its families.

6 FUN FACTS ABOUT CAREYES

1968

Gianfranco Brignone flew over a remote stretch of Mexico’s coastline. He purchased 20,000 acres, and his vision of Careyes began. Over the next several decades, Brignone developed a unique, free-spirited community of bon vivants nestled in the majestic jungle.

Diversity

Careyes is magnificent, unspoiled natural beauty spanning over 35,000 acres of protected reserve. It is home to over 70 species of mammals, 270 species of birds, and over 1,200 species of plants.

The Name “Careyes”

Comes from the critically endangered Hawksbill (Carey) Sea Turtle, and the Careyes beaches are the second most important nesting site in the entire continental coast of the Mexican Pacific.

The Careyes logo (?!)

Was created through the idea that when people first hear about Careyes, they don't know anything about it (?), but after they get to know it, they are absolutely astonished and in awe (!).

La Copa del Sol

Represents a woman. It rises 35 feet from its base and is over 88 feet in diameter. Equally an acoustic and visual marvel, it catches and cups the sun.

The Pyramideon

Represents a man. Is tucked inside a cave a mile inland from La Copa del Sol. It is aligned in such a way that the sun appears to set into La Copa while illuminating the Pyramideon.
